Charltons Hampton Gate TSW

The Charltons Hampton Gate TSW, crafted by Charltons in the United Kingdom, is a classic garden gate distinguished by its tongue and groove match boarding with vertical pales. Constructed with framed, ledged, and braced mortice & tenon joints, it features chamfering on the top and mid-rails, offering an enhanced aesthetic appeal.  Designed from quality softwood and pressure-treated for durability, this gate stands at 1.067m (3’6”). When fitting this wooden gate we recommend 16" Tee hinges which are attached to the gate and post by screws.  Another option for hinges is cranked band hinges.  For latching the gate we recommend an auto gate catch with striker.  A 6" Brenton bolt can also be used to latch the gate which gives the option of being able to padlock and secure the gate.  For hanging the gate we recommend a post of 4" x 4" for the 3ft gate, a post of 5" x 5" for the 3ft 6" and 4ft gates and a 6" x 6" or a 7" x 7" post for 5ft to 6ft gates.  If hanging as part of a pair of gates we recommend adjustable bands which allow the gate to be adjusted at fitting or at a later date.  We also recommend a 12" gate loop (2" wide) for holding the gates together in the middle.  An 18" or 24" garage bolt is optional for securing the gates in the middle.  Postcrete can also be ordered for securing the post in the ground.  Please see related products for a list of items required.
