Meet The Team

IAN SMITH (DIRECTOR) 

Ian has a keen involvement in all aspects of the company since leaving school 44 years ago and has diversified the vast range of products available over the years always ensuring JSF has the highest quality materials on the market. Although Ian is no longer a fencer himself, he oversees our local contract division and covers Dumfries and Galloway measuring and pricing fencing works.

LEE SMITH (DIRECTOR) 

Since marrying Ian in 1989 Lee has covered all areas of the business starting out in a  portacabin in the yard with just the two of them at desks. Since the expansion of the  business over the years and additional office staff Lee has found her niche keeping a  firm hand on both the credit control and purchase ledger accounts as well as assisting  the sales teams during busier periods.

JAMES SMITH (DIRECTOR) 

James is a professional showjumper and runs his stables on site at JSF. When his  work is finished with the horses, he leaves the stables in the hands of his groom and  takes position behind the wheel of one of our delivery fleet keeping our busy delivery  schedule on route.

ANNA CAMPBELL (DIRECTOR) 

Anna qualified as a Midwife after the birth of her first daughter and works this vocation part-time while also working part-time in our busy Fencing Sales Division. Anna deals with customer enquiries and sales efficiently processing quotes and orders for both stock and bespoke items.

LUCY WALLACE (DIRECTOR)

Since joining JSF as a school leaver Lucy has worked in every aspect of the company. Beginning in Fencing Sales before joining Lee in Accounts while studying for her Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Since starting her young family Lucy has returned part-time and enjoys her role in Sales working with both the Fencing and Cladding Sales Divisions.

KIM LOCKHART (CLADDING MANAGER) 

Kim joined the company in 2002 and has been involved in most departments over the years starting off working in Fencing Sales and assisting Lee with the Purchase Ledger Accounts before taking on the role of Cladding Manager in 2014. Kim has also dealt with the company Advertising & Marketing since she began.

EMMA VICTORIA FORTNUM (SALES MANAGER - FENCING/AGRI RUBBER)

Emma manages the sales division of both our Fencing and Agri Rubber Divisions dealing directly with customers and also the purchasing of all relevant materials for stock as well as bespoke orders. Starting out in Field Sales in 2016 out and about meeting customers old and new before settling into the full-time office role she manages so well today.

STEVEN CAMPBELL (DRIVER & SALES CO-ORDINATOR)

Steven started out fencing alongside our contract teams before taking on a driving role delivering our materials throughout Scotland. Latterly, Steven has started splitting his week between this role and a new office-based role dealing with Fencing  Sales and maintenance of our vehicle fleet.

GARY SIMPSON (SALES / PURCHASING CO-ORDINATOR) 

Gary joined the Cladding Sales Division in 2016 after leaving his Naval career to settle  back in his hometown of Kirkcudbright. Gary deals with customer building enquiries; processing quotes and orders seeing them through to completion of supplying the  project.

JON NEWBURY (ACCOUNTS & FINANCE ASSISTANT) 

Jon is originally from London and joined the company in 2017 following a move to  Scotland to start a new life with his local wife. Jon assists Lee in the running of the  Accounts Department and is on hand to help with any Credit Control or Purchase  Ledger queries.

ANDY McMILLAN YARDMAN LYNNBANK

Andy has been with JSF for 22 years, he knows the job inside out and can assist you with anything from gates to ironmongery. 

NORMAN BURGESS YARDMAN HIGH BORELAND

Norman is the main yardman at our High Boreland yard, he likes a nice and tidy yard and can assist you with anything from cladding to construction timbers.
